Mount. Kailash (6714 m) - one of the very popular mountain peak of Tibet, which is also known by the name of Tise, Kailash or Kang Rinpoche (Jewel of the Snows) has since time immemorial been celebrated in many eastern cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis-mundi. Mt.Meru (Kailash) is sacred to the hindus, the buddhists, the Jains, & the Bonpos, taken as the center of the physical & metaphysical universe.

Our Tibetan guide meets you at the airport and escorts you to the main city (Lhasa) which is 98 km away from the airport. In Lhasa, we make two days guided sightseeing tour for two days that covers almost all the highlighted places situated inside Lhasa. After that we start our journey to Mt. Kailash and lake Manasarovar via Gynatse, Shigatse and Sakya Monastery. As usual, “Lhasa to Mt. Kailash Tour” consists of a 3 days circumambulation around holy Mt. Kailash. The tour ends at Zhang-Mu.

The tour offers rigorous overland driving, trekking and camping, passing the remote and wild western Tibet , in altitudes between 2,745m/9,000ft and 4,880m / 16,000ft and hiking to a maximum of 5600m / 18,400ft.

Day 01 : Pick up from Kathmandu Airport and drop to hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Kathmandu and Nagarkot sightseeing by car or van or tourist bus and overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Drive to Kodari to Zhangmu to Nylam, 145 K.M. ( 8 Hrs ), and overnight at Guest house or Camp.

Day 04 : Short walking in Nylam and overnight at guest house or Camp.

Day 05 : Drive to Saga via Lalung - La and Pikutso Lake, 232 K.M. ( 8 Hrs ), and overnight at guest house or Camp.

Day 06 : Drive to Paryang, 252 K.M., 7 Hrs and overnight at guest house or Camp.

Day 07 : Drive to Chugomba via Tugugomba and Mansarovar Parikrama, 30 K.M. ( 3 Hrs ), and overnight at guesthouse or Camp.

Day 08 : Homa / Puja at the holy lake, Mansarovar and drive to Darchen via Tithapuri, 40 K.M., 3 Hrs and overnight at Guest house or Camp.

Day 09 : Darchen to Derapuk Gomba and overnight at Camp. ( A three Day's trek around Mt. Kailash ).

Day 10 : Derapuk Gomba to Zutul Phuk Gombha and overnight at Camp.

Day 11 : Zutul Phuk Gomba to Horaa and overnight at Camp.

Day 12 : Horaa to Paryang and overnight at Camp.

Day 13 : Paryang to Saga and overnight at Camp.

Day 14 : Saga to Nyalam and overnight at guest house.

Day 15 : Nyalam to Zhang-Mu to Kathmandu back, 150 K.M., and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 16 : Free day and overnight at hotel.

Day 17 : Final departure to Kathmandu Airport. Tour Ends.
