Mount. Kailash (6714 m) - one of the very popular mountain peak of Tibet, which is also known by the name of Tise, Kailash or Kang Rinpoche (Jewel of the Snows) has since time immemorial been celebrated in many eastern cosmologies as Mt. Meru, the axis-mundi. Mt.Meru (Kailash) is sacred to the hindus, the buddhists, the Jains, & the Bonpos, taken as the center of the physical & metaphysical universe.

Our Tibetan guide meets you at the airport and escorts you to the main city (Lhasa) which is 98 km away from the airport. In Lhasa, we make two days guided sightseeing tour for two days that covers almost all the highlighted places situated inside Lhasa. After that we start our journey to Mt. Kailash and lake Manasarovar via Gynatse, Shigatse and Sakya Monastery. As usual, “Lhasa to Mt. Kailash Tour” consists of a 3 days circumambulation around holy Mt. Kailash. The tour ends at Zhang-Mu.

The tour offers rigorous overland driving, trekking and camping, passing the remote and wild western Tibet , in altitudes between 2,745m/9,000ft and 4,880m / 16,000ft and hiking to a maximum of 5600m / 18,400ft.

Day 01 : Pick up from Kathmandu Airport and drop to hotel and overnight at hotel.

Day 02 : Kathmandu and Nagarkot sightseeing by car or van or tourist bus and overnight at hotel.

Day 03 : Fly to Gonggar Airport, Tibet from Kathmandu Airport by flight and drive 93 kms to Lhasa and overnight at hotel.

Day 04/05 : In Lhasa, Sightseeing of Drepung, Jokhing, Norbu Linkha, Potala Palace and Sera Monastery and overnight at hotel.

Day 06 : Drive 70 Kms to Xigathe and overnight at hotel.

Day 07 : Visit Tashi Lhumpo Monastery and drive to Lhastse and overnight at hotel.

Day 08 : Drive to Saga and overnight at Guests house.

Day 09 : Drive to Paryang and overnight at Guesthouse.

Day 10 : Drive to Hore ( Mansarovar ) via Mayumla Pass and overnight at Camp or Guest house.

Day 11 : Puja in Mansarovar and drive to Darchen and overnight at Camp.

Day 12 : Asthaprabat Daeshan ( if Permitted ), and overnight at Camp in Darchen.

Day 13 : Mt. Kailash Parikrama, 53 kms, and trek to Dirapuk and overnight at Camp.

Day 14 : Trek to Zuthulpuk, 22 kms and overnight at Camp.

Day 15 : Return back to Hore near Mansarovar and overnight at Camp.

Day 16 : Drive back to Paryang and overnight at guesthouse or Camp.

Day 17 : Drive to Saga and overnight at guesthouse or Camp.

Day 18 : Drive to Nepal-Tibet Border 273 kms, in Nylam or Zhangmu and overnight at guesthouse or Camp.

Day 19 : Back to Kathmandu and overnight at hotel.

Day 20 : Free Day and overnight at hotel.

Day 21 : Final departure to Kathmandu Airport. Tour Ends.
